TRIATHLON // AUSTRALIAN ALL SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS TRIATHLON // AUSTRALIAN ALL SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS SUCCESS

We are incredibly proud of Year 8 student Mason P, who had an outstanding performance at the Australian All Schools Triathlon championships recently, representing NSWCCC. Mason qualified for the A Finals, finishing an impressive 10th overall in the individual triathlon — a huge achievement in such a demanding sport.

He also played a key role in the NSW Junior Boys Team, helping secure gold in the single-leg relay, where Mason took on the swim leg with determination and grit.

Triathlon requires immense commitment, discipline and resilience, and it’s wonderful to see Mason's hard work pay off. This week he ticked off several long-term goals — a true testament to his effort, focus and perseverance.

Congratulations Mason — we are so proud of you! 👏
VISUAL ARTS // AGNSW IMMERSION Our Senior Visual VISUAL ARTS // AGNSW IMMERSION

Our Senior Visual Arts students enjoyed an inspiring and engaging excursion recently, visiting the Ron Mueck Exhibition and Art Express at the Art Gallery New South Wales. It was a fantastic day, with all students gaining valuable insight into contemporary art practice.

The incredible sculptures by Ron Mueck were both emotive and awe-inspiring, prompting thoughtful discussion about scale, realism, and the human condition. Students were particularly captivated by the lifelike detail and the powerful emotional responses evoked by the works.

The visit to Art Express, showcasing selected artworks from the 2025 HSC cohort, was equally inspiring. Our current Year 12 students benefited greatly from seeing exemplary bodies of work, gaining a clearer understanding of the possibilities within their own artmaking practice.

Overall, it was a highly successful excursion, sparking creativity and motivation as students continue to develop their major works.

Ms Oram and Ms Purnell expressed how joyful it was to spend the day with their beautiful senior students.

Thank you to thank Ms Oram and Ms Purnell for this opportunity, and to Mr Todd for joining our art students for a day of culture in the arts.

Experiences like this Visual Arts immersion reflect our commitment to 'Inspirational Learning for Aspirational Learners'. By providing rich opportunities beyond the classroom, we empower students to deepen their understanding, ignite creativity and confidently pursue excellence as they continue their learning journey.
NEW VET PATHWAYS // EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION & CA NEW VET PATHWAYS // EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION & CARE

Our Year 11 VET Early Childhood Education and Care students recently participated in a valuable experiential learning opportunity at the St Cecilia's Community Playgroup, exemplifying the practical focus of this new course offering at St Peter’s Catholic College. The community playgroup, which is facilitated by St Peter's Parent Engagement Coordinator for the Wyong Catholic Parish, is a wonderful partnership supporting young families within our parish community.

During the visit, students engaged with children and facilitated a range of Easter-themed play experiences, allowing them to apply their theoretical learning in an authentic, community-based setting. The experience highlighted their professional confidence, creativity and commitment to care, reflecting the high standard of learning fostered within the program.

The Early Childhood Education and Care VET course is brand-new to St Peter's — currently the only school on the Central Coast to deliver this qualification — which provides students with meaningful pathways into Early Childhood Education, Primary Teaching and Education and Care settings, with a Statement of Attainment towards a Certificate III upon completion. The course is delivered by a subject-specialist Early Childhood educator with over 20 years of industry experience, ensuring strong professional insight and industry connection.

Opportunities such as this reflect St Peter’s commitment to a continuity of care and pathways model, where students are supported through real-world experiences that inform and strengthen their post-school aspirations.

Congratulations to our students on this significant step towards their future careers in early childhood education!

If you would like to explore this pathway for your senior years, head to the link in our bio to book a tour and chat with our staff.

ANZAC DAY 2026 // ST PETER’S PAY TRIBUTE Our St P ANZAC DAY 2026 // ST PETER’S PAY TRIBUTE

Our St Peter’s Captains and Vice Captains paid their respects to our ANZACs at the Wyong memorial service this morning. Vice Captains, Vance and Charlotte, laid a beautiful wreath at the Cenotaph. Captains, Liam and Micaela, proudly spoke to the crowd reflecting on the sacrifice of our service men and women, and how our ANZACs courage and mate-ship reminds us that we as a community are stronger together, supporting one another in times of need ❤️

This morning was a proud moment of reflection and remembrance, and we give thanks to our wonderful student leaders for their courage and reverence.

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

This year’s theme — Women in Service — shone brightly as we welcomed Melinda Dagg from the Royal Australian Navy, and St Peter’s Catholic College alumni, and twin sisters, Paris and Eden Rigby, now proudly serving in the Royal Australian Air Force.
Their service inspires us. Their legacy lives on. Lest we forget.
RUGBY LEAGUE // ALUMNI INSPIRES RISE STUDENTS St RUGBY LEAGUE // ALUMNI INSPIRES RISE STUDENTS

St Peter's Catholic College recently welcomed back alumni and Gold Coast Titans NRLW star, Lailani Montgomery, who returned to the College to work with our Year 10 RISE students. Lailani shared insights from her sporting journey, speaking about the importance of commitment, resilience, and taking the right steps to grow as an athlete and person.

Following the discussion, Lailani spent time on the field assisting students with skill development, providing practical coaching and mentoring to help them refine their technique and game understanding.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn from someone who once walked the same halls and has continued to pursue excellence in her sporting pathway. We thank Lailani for giving back to the St Peter's community and inspiring the next generation of RISE athletes.
